Born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and growing up in Goose Bay, Labrador, Shannon has been painter and carving since he was 5. For many years he was primary a hobby wood - carver. In  the mid 90's Shannon was introduced to stone & bone media and he has not looked back. The internet, an art gallery and a injured spine have been the catalysts, for the emergence of another noted Labrador sculptor. Shannon is freeing spirits in small and large carving stones alike; each stone or antler speaks to this artists eye and hand.
