Welcome to the Sedna website. Sedna is the Inuit Goddess of the sea; a fitting title for a page I thought as I am of Inuit descent. No, I do not think I am Sedna, but Sedna is my favorite goddess in Inuit mythology and I admire Sedna greatly. I am Labrador Inuit and I come from a small isolated coastal community (population 400) called Makkovik. If you search on a map you can find us in eastern Canada (south of the 60th parallel) right on the Atlantic ocean. We are called Sikumiut which means "the people of the sea ice" and we have lived in Labrador for hundreds of years.

I hope this site leads you to a better understanding of the Inuit. Eventually it will contain more detailed information about the Labrador Inuit, our history, our experience and the direction we are going for the future.

The most interesting feature of my page to date are the photos. I am an amateur photographer. Visit my photo gallery and get an insite into Labrador; its beauty and its magnificence.

Enjoy.......and please.....don't forget to sign my guestbook below . I look forward to hearing from you.
