Christmas is one of my great passions in life, it truly is my favorite time of the year. In fact, it is in my heart all year round. Thank you for coming here and sharing it with me.

You haven't celebrated Christmas until you've celebrated Christmas in Makkovik. It truly is a unique experience. Christmas is not just the celebration of the twenty fifth of December (in fact December twenty fourth is the bigger celebration) but it's the culmination of the religious and spiritual celebration; the traditions of Inuit culture and very many deep seeded traditions passed on to the community over the decades.

For those of you who may be interested in reading the details of Christmas in Makkovik, I have up loaded a paper which I prepared a number of years ago. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
